It All Began When I Fell Flat On My Face

There I was -- a baby in diapers, a serious J-O-B, and a financially devastating divorce. I knew I had to do something, but what?! That's when I bought my first multifamily and I've never looked back.

Listen, I'm first generation. I grew up serving coffee in the family diner, riding bikes all over town 100% unsupervised, and getting teased for my wild hair. I found my way to where I am through trial and error and I'm dying to tell you everything I've figured out so far -- so you can get there faster.

Take My Homework

Morning prayer + meditation, snuggles with Hubby and Kiddo, picking things up and putting them down, happy hour on the patio

daily rituals

Digging in the dirt, working a spreadsheet, guesting on podcasts, eating something beautiful.

YOU CAN FIND ME:

Lip service, pleasing everyone, doing what I'm supposed to, or days without long soaks in the tub.

I'm NOT ABOUT:

Straight talk, fresh air, data, and choosing the one thing that's going to make an impact so I can say 'no' to everything else.

I BELIEVE IN:

My biggest breakthroughs come when I'm not trying so hard, but trusting the process, letting go, and having a good time. Sometimes, entrepreneurs call me to talk about a business problem but wind up unpacking their feelings about being a human. The idea that we can separate the two is rubbish.

My career has been all about getting new lines of revenue off the ground -- from building sales teams to monetizing solutions that solve customer problems, to bringing early-stage b2b SaaS startups to market. So, I'm like a pig in mud when there are tons of unknowns and risks abound. I test the riskiest hypothesis first because it's thrilling and it means I have more time to take hot baths. My one constant has always been solving problems for founders -- so they can clear the mental clutter and move toward their dreams.

Real estate investing has been my long-time side hustle, having bought my first single-family in 2009 followed by my first multifamily in 2013.

My family is my everything, especially Hubby and Kiddo. We make our home in Portland, Maine, where we eat well and raise a small flock of Brahmas.

My superpower is helping women become more themselves by pursuing the kind of life they actually want -- one with abundant freedom, joy, and peace.

My purpose in this life is to become free and to help others who are also committed to becoming so. That purpose is my beacon in every area of life - family, spiritual journey, and -- of course -- in my work.

My Favorite Things

Whether cultivating natives from seed or growing heaps of hard-to-find foods, I just can't seem to quit my gardening habit.

Kiddo and I finally grew our family when Hubby came into our lives!

I love love love to dig in the dirt. I'd say my style is more small-scale agriculture than gardening.
